The assessment and quality assurance qualification will form part of an integrated suite of TAQA qualifications for training and quality assurance practitions. This work-based learning course is for people working in the hairdressing, beauty therapy or sport and leisure industries and the units are designed as a flexible route into assessment and will give you and your organisation the opportunity to develop and inprove pratitioner skills as well as achieving a profession qualification.
Entry Requirements
Applicants should be qualified to level 3 or equivalent in vocational hairdressing, beauty therapy or sport and leisure with a minimum of three to five years’ experience in the industry. Applicants must be able to work on their own initiative in order to collect and record evidence and must be able to work to a deadline.
Duration
Tten weeks, one evening a week (Mondays) from 6pm-8pm for input on the course content. For the remaining duration of the course, you will need qualified assessors to support and monitor your progress for the remainder of the course work,. There will be individual monitoring and one-to-one support from an internal verifier. As a large part of the course involved collecting evidence and assessment of your candidates, you will need to allocate time for organising and planning your course work and progression.
Progression
Successful candidates may progress onto the Level 4 Award in Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice.
